CFEC Awarded New Grant

The CFEC is pleased to share that it has received a $10,000 grant from Durham Cerebral Palsy Foundation Fund at the Triangle Community Foundation. Funds from this grant will be used for family grants (for families who have children with CP under the age of 18) to assist with vehicle upgrades, technology and to cover costs for families to participate in more community activities. More information will be shared on February 11th at 7 PM during the CP Family Group Meeting. The group was launched - in 2018 - by the Family Support Network team as a response to a local parent push for opportunities to connect specifically about raising a child with CP. The group meets on a quarterly basis and host private social media groups and electronic communications to share information, ask questions and provide answers. The FSN staff has worked hard to facilitate and organize activities - particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic - to connect families to whatever resources they need.
