Welcome Brittney!

We are thrilled to announce that Brittney Albert has joined the CFEC Team as our new Development & Marketing Associate. She comes to the CFEC from HandsOn Northwest North Carolina, where she served as Community Engagement Coordinator for four years. In this role, she was instrumental in the organization's marketing, event management, and community relations efforts. Prior to that she was with Family Services, where she served as a Victim Advocate for over three years, working with individuals and families who had been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Brittney is a graduate of HandsOn NWNC's Women's Emerging Leaders and Project Blueprint Board Training programs and has a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Wake Forest University's Pro Humanitate Institute (her alma mater.) She is also the immediate past President of the Piedmont Regional Association of Volunteer Administration (PRAVA), an affiliate organization that provides support and networking opportunities for volunteer administrators while promoting and fostering volunteer relationships within the community. She takes pride in her reputation as a community connector and having a knack for bringing people, organizations, and resources together. Apart from her professional roles, Brittney has a passion for animal welfare and educating others about the benefits of animal companionship and therapy, as well as advocating for our friends with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD.) She is an avid volunteer for the Humane Solution Spay/Neuter Program and Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center and served on the Board of Directors of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem for four years. She resides in Kernersville with her husband and two rescue dogs, Jules and Chance.
