Virtual Read Across America Celebration

Over twenty volunteers helped us turn what is normally a one-day affair into a week-long virtual celebration at the beginning of March! Everyone from college students to grandparents recorded videos of themselves reading a favorite book (or two) that teachers at The Children's Center and The Special Children's School could play throughout the week to celebrate Read Across America Day. Although our storytellers weren't able to physically be in the classrooms this year, their love of reading radiated through the screen. Thank you so much for teaching our students about the importance of literature!
