Horsing Around with Riverwood

Our students at The Children's Center are back to "horsing around." CFEC's long-time partner, Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center is now bringing it's Mobile Education & Outreach horse trailer on site for our students to enjoy. The horse trailer has been completely renovated to look like the inside of the barn, carries 2 miniature horses and offers interactive and educational activities for children and adults. In 2014, this mobile program was established to provide customized mobile services to clients who are unable to visit Riverwood’s farm location. Additionally, the outreach program provides education and awareness to the general public about equine assisted activities, disabilities, and horse care.
