Stepping Stones Seminar 2: Helping Your Child Reach Their Potential

Parenting is hard work. Let us add tools to your parenting toolbox! This is one of three 90-minute seminars that teach the Triple P Positive parenting approach. Each seminar offers strategies and principles that are helpful when raising a child with a disability.

In this seminar, we will share how you can use the positive parenting principles to promote your child’s development by teaching you new skills and behaviors. The six key steps to teach a new skill are:
• Choosing a skill to teach.
• Breaking the skill into steps.
• Choosing rewards.
• Deciding on when and where to teach.
• Using effective teaching strategies.
• Keeping track and review.

You must register using the link below. To be eligible, families must be residents of Forsyth County and have a child with special needs age five or younger. Limited spots are available for Forsyth County residents with children 6-12 years old. Gift cards will be given to participants.
